Ken used to be king of the hill, because for most of his childhood because he was an only child. Until his mom committed suicide, and his dad re-married. It was not easy to learn how to share this when your 14 years old and never had to share things before. Now he had to learn how to relate to brothers and sisters.
As an adult Ken realized that one of the good things that came out of having stepfamily, was that you could learn relationship skills. That can be an important skill in life and on the job. You’re always going to have a conflict with people. If a child can learn how to deal with conflict in there lives. It can translate to the job site.
The Bible says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger," Proverbs 15:1. Those childhood relational experiences can help provide a gentle answer in life's difficult situations.
