Free Barabbas!
Is what the people cried
They wanted their savior to be the one to die.
They had mocked and cursed his name.
This man in whom there was no blame.
They said he was a liar.
So on his head went a brier.
Even though they mocked my King,
Not one punch did he swing.
He bowed his head and died that day
For all of our sins to pay.
Many would have surely been
Doubtful that he would again
Reappear on the earth
Their faith was so bleak and dearth.
But on Easter morning
Without much of a warning
An angel appeared in the tomb
And said, "Look at all this room,
"He is not here for He is risen
"He is no longer as if in a prison"
Jesus conquered Hell and the grave
He did it all in just three days.
Now, my friends, I have realized
That He has been idealized.
He is worthy of everything
And I would give him anything.
He died for me on that dark day
And there is no way I can pay
Him back for all his love and kindness
For healing me of my blindness.
If you do not know this man
He will save you, and HE CAN.
