Week five we discussed verse 15 covering how to have our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. I talked to them about the armor was originally similar to a combat boot. Stiff and hard soled so as to be able to walk over any rocks and difficult terrain. I took from my closet my pink, fluffy bunny slippers and told them that if we wait until we need the boots, when we are obviously in the middle of battle to pick them up and put them on before, God will be faithful and meet us on whatever front line of fire we find ourselves on. But, if we will draw close to him when we are not in battle, when we are sitting back with our bunny slippers on, we will really come to know him so much more. We tend to waste that time. We tend to wait until we are in trouble and then the boots have to be heavy and harsh. My feet have become ready with the gospel of peace by being in his presence all the time. Don’t get lazy when things are easy. Bunny slippers may not feel like armor. Cozy as they are, it’s a great time to sit with on and grow in God.

I was a little confused as to when, or if, we were to "wear our bunny slippers".
Keep writing.
