Yet Christians of nowadays find it difficult to tithe not just our money but our time in order to spend quality time with God.
This is not to point accusing fingers or pass judgmental stances at anyone here; after all I am not completely exonerated from this flaw.
But did I hear you mutter, “What of Sunday”?
Sunday’s a universal day of worship of the Lord.
When last did you spend a tenth of your day after the day’s work feeding from God’s Word? How long ago did you receive a clear Word from the Lord while in His presence?
Anyway, I tithed my day last night and received a priceless lecture for doing this.
Oh how sweet to know we have a Persevering Saviour!
I was studying Jude’s epistle about the devil’s contention for Moses’ life even after death. Then I asked the Lord these questions;
when did Jude 1:9 take place if the Old Testament accounts that no one found his body”? why was Satan so interested in a dead man’s life having thwarted his Promised Land dream?
Son! I heard the Spirit of God say, “That episode about the contention for Moses’ body was a revelation to the Apostle as it affects all my servants”.
“Secondly, Satan is interested in every Faithful Christian, particularly if such happens to be a thorn in his flesh”.
“Moses had obviously dealt him many blows at different times throughout his life time”.
“Beginning at the plagues, my servant terrorized Egypt and all its idols being the citadel of demonic operations in those days. Added to this was the memorable defeat of pharaoh at the Red Sea”.
“Yet Satan never forgot all these feats”!
“Satan then stalked Moses till the latter committed an error against me; this caused me to end his journey before he entered the Promised Land”. “This was so as to avert the enemy’s plan to make him a wreck in the nearest future”!
“The devil being a good legalist then tried to use my ‘word’ that states, “that every sin against me is unforgivable” to pin his victim after his death.
As such, even arch-angel Michael could do nothing to save Moses except he called my Name to silence the plaintiff.
This is because I am the Shepherd of the Souls of my ministers and saints”.
More so did you know that;
In the Book of Genesis, I was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and prevented them from wasting.
In Exodus, I am that I am, the Passover Lamb and rescued the Israelites from slavery.
In Leviticus, I was the Atoning Blood and redeemed the sins of every man.
Similarly, in Peter’s Epistle I was the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls and still is.
In John’s Epistle I was Love this makes me never to give up on you.
While here in Jude I am the Preserver of the Called!
In all these books I was, and still is, and forever will continue to be the Shepherd of the souls of my saints irrespective of their state because I have love them with an everlasting love!
