Mervin Disbelief: “Doctor, I am having some serious health problems. Because of them, I am not sleeping well at night, I feel anxious all the time. Please help me?”
Doctor Jesus: “Nurse Goodheart, may I see the list of medication he has been using?”
Nurse Prayer-heart: “It’s right here; th-this is your information?”
Mervin Disbelief: “Um-m-m, yea sure, that’s my list.”
Doctor Jesus: “How long have you been using alcohol and tobacco, Mr. Unbelief?”
Mervin Disbelief: “About twenty years now.”
Doctor Jesus: “Hard drugs?”
Mervin Disbelief: “About five years.”
Doctor Jesus: “Exactly when did you start having anxiety?”
Mervin Disbelief: “The first time I noticed it was when I met Joy. She’s not like anybody I ever met. I attended a church dinner with her. The food was good, but later when they talked Christian stuff, I started getting all bothered, you know, kinda sick stomach. Couldn’t sleep that night and not much since.”
Doctor Jesus: “Have you been back around those people anymore? Maybe they were trying to help you.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Naw, I sure thought that Joy girl was something, but now I avoid her. I wish it could be different. I might fall for her otherwise.”
Doctor Jesus: “Don’t you think that is being a little unfair? Maybe hear them out and see what they offer?”
Nurse Prayer-heart: Mr. Disbelief, I go to a group that sounds like the one you may be talking about. I know a Joy.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Oh, not another one. See look at my hand. Just being around people like you makes it shake. What is there about you people?”
Nurse Prayer-heart: “We have some medicine that beats all that’s on your list.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Excuse me, Ma’am, but I think I’ll just stick with the Doctor’s medicine. Doctor, you do have some to help me out?”
Doctor Jesus: “Yes, I do, if you’ll follow the prescription.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Yes, sir. I’m getting desperate for help.”
Doctor Jesus: “Take the remedy exactly as agreed?”
Mervin Disbelief: “I will. I’d swear on a stack a Bibles. Sorry, Ma’am. Don’t mean to offend you any.”
Nurse Prayer-heart: “That might just be a good thing for you to do, Mr. Disbelief.”
Doctor Jesus: “I’m expecting this to help you in just a few days, if not sooner.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Doc, I’ve got to have some relief. I’m desperate.”
Doctor Jesus: “You sound just like the kind I can help. Certain you will do this?”
Mervin Disbelief: “Very sure.”
Doctor Jesus: “Then this is part of the deal. I’m sending you to a very specialized Counselor. Friend Spirit is an excellent source who will not mislead you.”
Nurse Prayer-heart: “He’s my very best companion. So loving and kind.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Good. How do I get to His place?”
Doctor Jesus: “See out the window; go straight down that narrow path. You can’t miss Him; He will meet you. He has a very effective way of helping, if you will just listen.”

Mervin Disbelief: “Doc sent me over to see you.”
Friend Spirit: “I am familiar with your case. Are you willing to follow my advice?”
Mervin Disbelief: “Yes, Sir. I am totally beat down and need help.”
Friend Spirit: “I have written out everything for you to do.”
Mervin Disbelief: “Aren’t you going to give me some medicine?”
Friend Spirit: “The medicine is in this Written Word.”
Mervin Disbelief thanked Friend Spirit. The first on his list was to admit he was lost and doomed for hell in the state he was in. Then he was to read Rom. 3: 10,13. Fumbling, he found the scripture and admitted he was lost. “I don’t want to go to hell,” he sobbed.
Next, believe in Jesus. Then read John 3:16. “I’ve heard of that one before.” Continuing he was to become a child of God by receiving Christ, and read John 1:12. “Oh my. This has been my answer all along?” Bowing his head he asked for forgiveness. Great sobbing released forth.
His final instructions were to Confess Jesus as Lord, and read Rom.10:9. “Yes, Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord.” He sat reading his Bible the rest of the day and everyday after that, along with praying.
The following week he returned to see Doctor Jesus. Entering the office he immediately recognized that he was talking to his Lord and Savior, Dr. Jesus. Joy stood beside Dr. Jesus. Mervin Belief, fell in worship of Dr. Jesus and received Joy.
