Vacuuming, dusting, grocery shopping, laundry, weeding, cleaning...where did I find the time to do this on the weekends? Now I could go through coat closets, dresser drawers and clean out the cupboards below the kitchen sink. The phone rings. Would I be able to watch Bobby on Friday for a couple of hours while Susie goes to the dentist? Absolutely! I scrub floors and countertops until they shine. I pour through cookbooks and begin to master baking delectable goodies. Yummy!
I study and do research constantly to enlarge my understanding and expertise of the art of housewifery. Finances, lawncare, recycling, ironing, removing stains, shopping for bargains; the list is endless.
“Aren't you bored?”, well meaning people ask me. “Do you find yourself watching lots of television?”, ask others. A thousand times the answer is NO! How could I be bored doing what I was created to do?
Someone told my husband that they didn't believe that I really enjoy making his lunch everyday. What? He told them that I get immense satisfaction from cleaning the bathrooms too, but they didn't believe that either. Sigh.
They don't understand that, for me, being a housewife isn't work; it's fun. Fun, fun, fun, FUN! It's a challenge and an adventure every single day. I have deadlines, budgets, working lunches, schedules and meetings just like everyone else.
I truly believe that God has a purpose and a calling on every man, woman, boy and girl. I am fulfilling what God has called me to do. Are you?

Well written.
I have a 2 year old daughter though and that makes it more challenging. But I would not trade it for the world. Your article is very well written and I feel I have been given a glimpse of your personality. Thanks.
