As one who quit riding a bike after a bad fall as a child and never got back on, I can relate. As a believer who has, at times, been tempted to quit but hasn't (thank God), I can relate. Great illustration of a spiritual truth. Good job!
You have here a very well written "life story" of your daughter. At least it is not an autobiography.

Sometimes it only takes one "event" to turn a person around. Together you did it.

Nice writing about it and sharing it with us.
I know it was serious but I had to smile at your good and gripping tale of triumph. A great illustration too. Well done. Every blessing.
Wow, I loved this! I found myself cheering on your little angel as I read and clapped at this ending...wonderful job, illustrating and depicting the trials and "trails" of life with our Father ever guiding and holding us up with His arms of love and compassion!

Wonderful illustration of God holding onto us in the midst of our struggles. It reminded me of Peter walking on water. He had to get out of the boat to walk on water.
A very pleasant, and I am sure familiar to many, story about the challenges of learning to ride a bike.

I would have liked to have seen the perspective of the child instead. I think it would have been a more active and heart stopping adventure.

That is of course my point of view.

With that being said, I could see a really good hook at the beginning to draw the readers in.

You met the topic well and it flowed well for me. But I would have liked more active words. Go back and count the passive "was, were,...,etc." passive words and try to think what could be said to show feelings not just tell your feelings.

Good job. God bless.

Congratulations on your 1st place finish in the beginner category and your 6th place finish in the Editor"s Choice category.

Your story had a beautiful illustration about encouraging others when they are tired and feel like giving in.

It reminds me of God encouraging us through His words and the Holy Spirit.

This was a well written story.

Welcome to the Intermediate division.
Congratulations on your 1st place finish in the Beginners category and your 6th place finish overall, Nicole.

I liked your message and hope to read more of your entries.
I am so glad I just read this stirring 'living parable'! A wonderful picture, beautifully written, of how our loving Heavenly Father reaches out to us in our struggles and enables us to continue the race. Thankyou.

I am so happy this story won the quarterly challenge. It was a good analogy of facing life's challenges.
Excellent.when we understand that in every challenge God wants to bring out the best in us we become stronger&more committed to our goals
