When I got out of the car, I felt giddy with shock, and I thought oh boy! I probably have to contact my insurance company about that incident. I was so shocked that I actually fell down on the ground. The couple whose car I hit were not mad at me, so they knocked on our door, and my husband and son came out of the house.
As soon as my husband came out the house, and looked at what I had done, he looked angry which did not help the situation. I looked closely at the dent where I had caused the damage to their car. They had a little one in the car who was not hurt or affected by the accident. The couple told me not to worry about it, and not to look at the dent.
As soon as I went back into my house, I sat in the chair with some water. I felt stupid, and horrible after what I did. I would not have blamed them if that family were mad at me.
The next day the family whose car I had hit got an estimate for the repairs on the car for 1500.00 dollars. It was a lot more than I had thought. As it turned out, I had to get my insurance company involved. My son and I told them everything that had happened. The good thing about it was that there was no damage done to our car or we would have to pay the deductible.
I thought that in a way that it could have been a lot worse. I thought that if I had not backed pretty fast instead of backing out slowly, I could have caused more their car, and damage to our car as well. I am just thankful to God that our car was all right after that incident. It was my first accident, and I think that I am eligible for accident forgiveness. I know those people forgive me, and I also forgive myself which is something I should do.

Good job with the topic.
Blessings~
You left part of a sentence out or misspelled "where" as "were".
The last two "forgives" at the end would have sounded better as "forgave".
If I told about my first accident I would have to say the the white paint from the barn that jumped out at me never wore off the left rear fender of Dad's car.
I enjoyed your story.
