Jesus used the right mix of replies to his enemies. He had so many and they all came from different backgrounds. From the very well educated like Nicodemus, down to the people who could not afford an education in those days.
In John chapter 3. In verse 1. We see Nicodemus coming to see Jesus at night. To be seen associating with such a man, would be in the eyes of the Pharisees and the like. Nothing else but treachery, Nicodemus was held in very high esteem in the establishment. Hence his night time visit so that he would not be seen.
Notice that Nicodemus called Jesus Rabbi and a teacher. Also saying that no man could do the miracles that Jesus had done. Here we have a classic case of somebody seeing Jesus as just a man. Of course he was a man, born of a virgin. Jesus had to take that position in the world to be able to fulfill his destiny.
But the point here is that Nicodemus was full of religion and a very high education. He could not comprehend or see in the spirit world as to who he was talking too. To be told that unless a person be born again they would not see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus took the natural understanding. To enter my Mothers womb again? Listen to this reply from Jesus. Except a person be born again of water and of the spirit. They will not enter the kingdom of God. This is as hard a saying today as it was then. If you do not think so, try witnessing on the streets and quoting just that!.
Jesus had the right mix in his statement that what is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Then to go on in verse 7. He told Nicodemus not to marvel when he was told that he must be born again. Not what a secret visitor that came by night wanted to hear. Certainly not what religious people of this present day want to hear either.
You see it does not matter what our view is on being born again, The fact is, Jesus said it and there is no way around it. We want heaven , then we must be born again. The proof of the pudding is in the mixing. Sorry about that I could not resist it, Glory to God.

Nicely done. Be careful of typo's.
Some people do struggle on the concept of being born of the water and of the spirit. It, though, can be easily explained when we connect them to (Acts 2:38) We are born a new person without sin since that is what baptism does and we are now in a new family since we have the Holy Spirit of God living within us.
Good writing.
It is comforting to know that Jesus always has the right words to say!
I liked your last paragraph, and think it would have been a great opening one as well!
Great job!
