Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
On my first summer out of college my boyfriend and I hitchhiked up the west coast. We were running out of money and I was panicking. “Don’t’ worry,” he said, “Something will come up! Something always comes up!” Frustrated I simmered in anger and fear to myself.
The next day he got a letter from his friend. In it was a check. His friend had sent him money he owed my boyfriend. He waved it in my face, “See! Something always comes up. The universe works out.” Though we were ignorant of and far from God, I was farther. He had faith in the unseen. I had faith in enough cold hard cash securely in hand. He taught me a lot about hippy faith.
Many years later I came to saving faith in Jesus. Learning practical faith came hard. Fear is faith’s enemy. I thought of my hippy gurus like him out there and thought how great a force they could be for God with their great love for the earth, justice and human rights. Faith in the magical ways of the universe should be transformed into faith in the wondrous ways of its creator.

Well done.
God bless~
Our hope of heaven also comes by faith because of what we read in God's word.
Do keep writing about your life's experiences and how it relates to faith.
I realize I took some liberties, but I wanted to show you how using thoughts can propel the story onward while creating a picture for your reader. I liked your Bible verse and your message. It makes me stop and reflect on all the times God answered my prayers before I even prayed. He's pretty wonderful that way.
