It tells me a truth I don't wish to impart.
The cost of knowing is far higher than I want to pay.
It means my freedom in darkness could cause me dismay....
Creation is supposed to reveal God's majesty
But someone who believes that is a travesty.
The Bible says God made a garden in which Adam and Eve did play.
But, go figure, a snake talked and lead them astray.
My preacher, a criminal, a friend, and a foe
Told me if I rejected Christ there was a place I'd go.
"Hell is hot, miserable, and an eternal prison stay.
Please listen (let your heart begin to sway)."
I'm an EXPERT at SINNING and can't be beat!
God and religion won't make me sound retreat!
They spout Jesus as the only right way;
It would be best to accept His forgiveness today.
I met a kid once who didn't have much time.
She was very happy though her life was far from sublime.
She said the medicine was only a delay
Before her loving God took her from the world's fray.
Something hit home in what she lived and said.
Yet the sex, the partying, the rebellion swam through my head.
"Forget those religious freaks, " my heart did say,
"Money and pleasure are upon which you should focus your dossier."
Oh, I'm an EXPERT at SINNING and can't be beat!
An imaginary God won't make me sound retreat!
Hey, maybe I'll write up a money-making religious fantasy to convey....
Nah, then I might have to endure a psychiatrist's survey.

Very nice rhyme and rhythm.
It flowed nicely and was easy to read.
Very good rhyming use though.
