Tucking a camera into the pocket of my hoodie and then pulling on my boots prepared me for a morning of fog adventure. Mostly occurring during the falls and springs of the Colorado high plains God blesses with these calm, quiet, blanketed starts of the day. On such occasions the flash of a camera can expose more in the resulting pictures than what my eyes can see at the moment. I've wondered before if these coverings were the protection of God while He walked about His creation. Of course my camera has never revealed anything that couldn't be naturally explained.

Luke 8:26-39 KJV tells the story of a man who became a camera for Jesus. He had been possessed by "Legion: because many devils were entered into him (verse 30)" which Jesus cast into a herd of swine. After that the man desired to follow Jesus wherever He was headed but other plans were in the works. Jesus told the man to "Return to thine house, and show how great the things God hath done unto thee (verse 39)." The flash of Light would spread the truth into a darkened, spiritually blinded people.

Christians today have the same opportunity. More than that, we have the great privilege and responsibility to expose the sin filled scenery of the world. Yet, we must remember that the flash of Light is what truly reveals what cannot be known otherwise. Choose to be a camera in the hands of God and watch for the incredible results!

Very nice. I love how you painted the picture of fog. Such a short little devotional but so clear and precise. Great way to set the scene by using an experience that many of us can imagine (walking in fog and snapping a picture) to illustrate a deep spiritual purpose.
