To my knowledge, most Americas have considered sex with the same gender a sin, (as it should be), for most of its existence. Now, however, homosexuality is considered personal preference. Have we come so far as to revert back to the sins of old?
I also get just a little bit rattled when I hear of another school or government building that is prohibited from displaying the Ten Commandments, the cross, or anything that represents Jesus in any way. Yet, in the name of “culture”, our schools can teach about Buddha, Islam, or numerous other so called gods or religions. The Bible say “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”, Exodus 20:3. If I am not allowed to listen to teachings about the ‘One True God’, must I be forced to sit and listen to the teachings of other gods?
Another thing that really upsets me is when Christmas and Easter are given other names. These holidays have a specific purpose, celebrating the birth and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. If people just want some kind of holiday to participate in, they could pick another day and leave our celebrations alone. Only those who truly believe in Jesus Christ should be celebrating His birth and resurrection anyway! Why celebrate when you don’t believe?
These are just some of the things that “rattle my cage”. In fact, I get more than just a little bit rattled over anything contrary to the Word of God. I think that is a good thing if it brings me to my knees in prayer and entices me to stand up for what I believe in.
I encourage all Christians everywhere to stand up for the truth and become rattled for Jesus!
