I love the way words dance across my page as I type here today. Life has a way of creating images in my mind that simmer for years at a time, until I finally plop myself down in my desk chair and begin to let my fingers play the keys one word at a time. My soul is intertwined with each letter as they magically appear on the screen before me. Each word longing to be understood by the reader, as they move their eyes across the page.
Recently, my husband’s aunt resurrected our relationship by calling us one evening, a few years ago. She is a long-time football fan and wanted to know if Jeff had been watching the Packer games. She was a favorite aunt of my husband when he was a kid, so he thoroughly enjoys talking with her. I on the other hand barely know her, yet still feel a longing to share our world with her. Since she doesn’t own a computer, and loves beautiful stationary, I on occasion will pick up a beautiful card and begin to inform her of all we have been doing. It seems foreign to me. The pencil etches into the paper a clear form of my thoughts as I glide the lead back and forth. Distant memories begin to flood my mind, as I recall the feelings of long ago. I have been found.

You had quite a few words left to spare; I'd have loved to read more about you as a little girl and the grandmother who decided to stop writing letters. That would make a very compelling story.
Thank you for this entry--and keep writing!
