The man took is place in front of the throne and the spotlight lit up. "Hi I am King Soloman. I was the son of King David. When I became king over Israel I was given this purple robe to ware, because purple is the color for royalty," as King Soloman smiled at the crowd.
The King started to pace a little and stopped, "I wanted to make right decisions. Not only did the Lord give me wisdom but he gave me riches as well. The Lord blessed me because I asked for wisdom and not riches."
Soloman turned and faced another direction, "You can find some of my wisdom in the book of Proverbs, where I tell you how to live your life."
The king walked forward a little and got a serious look on his face, "I followed his commands the question is do you follow his commands? Are you honest? Do you envy people? Are you patience? Are you a good husband? Are you a good wife? Are you greedy? Are you selfish?"
King Soloman paused for a minute, "Every one of the things I mentioned is a sin that Christians commit. I believe the Lord does not want us to do these things. I believe that he wants you to live a pure and holy life. When you sin you hurt God."
The King raised his arm up and pointed his finger at the audience for a second, "Tonight, you need to look at you sins and repent."
Soloman paused for a second, "You received a piece of paper and a pencil when you walked in. I want you to right on there one thing that you need to repent for and bring it up to one of the crosses in the auditorium and take a thumb tack and nail it you sin on the cross." The noise of paper being shuffled was heard throughout the auditorium.
The song "I Have Decided To Follow Jesus" played softly in the background. People started to come forward as King Soloman knelt down and prayed. Almost half of the people came forward that night.
