Sweet memories...I too, gardened with my mom because it was her passion, not mine. That is, until she passed away. Then I found myself the very next year planting sweet peas (her favorite) in her honor ~ which led into gladiolas, roses, strawberries, beans....

Thanks for sharing your sweet story.
Your very sweet story brought memories-and tears to my eyes. Thoughtful and well-written.
Very touching story, and yes brought back memories of my mom, her time on her knees tending flowers. My favorite was a small rock garden on a small hill area, between our house and the "crick."
Nice writing!

This story brought back many fond memories of me and my grandmother who loved to garden. I learned a lot in her little plot of land behind the house, memories that linger to this day. Thank-you for writing this and sharing it in such a beautiful, loving and well-written way.
Hi Judy. Im running a little late this week, but just wanted to leave a quick note to congratulate you on your Highly Commended award in Level 1, and to also let you know you did very well overall, ranking 29th out of all entries for the week. Given the competition each week, that's very good for a Level 1 entrant.

It was a big week of entries, so you really did well. If you would like to see the highest rankings for yourself, you can find them here:

The highest rankings are posted every Thursday evening on the Message Boards.
Again, well done. :-)

Hope to see you at the FaithWriters' Conference in August.

With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
