Of God's unending love!
The green of a renewal of life,
The price paid by our Savior above!
When clothed with baubles, and tinsel
And sparkling with beautiful light,
We think of the star, in spendor
That told of that special night!
When Jesus came! The light of God!
Into our sin-dark world!
But, oh what persecution He faced
And the darts that Satan hurled!
When we look at the tree, we also think
Of the tree on Calvary's hill.
Not the beauty of a "Christmas tree,;
But even more beautiful still!
Yes, the tree is my reminder
Of our Savior's great sacrifice,
That made the narrow path for me!
And Jesus paid the price!
So, when we gaze upon the tree,
Filled with excitement and joy,
Let's remember our ultimate price was paid
By God's own baby boy!
