“When do you become real?” asked the Velveteen Rabbit to the horse. “You become real,” said the horse, “when you know that you are loved by the one who owns you.”
I didn’t know my boundaries
I really thought I knew;
Reaching out into the unknown
I found hurt and anger too.
I pulled back in surprise,
In fear of what might be
If ever I discovered
Just where the boundary line might be.
The tug within my heart
Would draw me closer to the edge
So timidly and hesitating
I tried to find it again.
Again the roar was sounded
Again the rumble grew
Until the need to know prevailed
And courage inside grew.
The angle tried had failed
The sitting still brought death
And each time that a step was made
I gingerly held my breath.
Will it be now that we can pierce
The wall of fog so grim?
Will it be now that we can share
Our inmost hearts and win?
So on we plunged, no looking back
The piercing through was done.
And as we broke the barrier
We knew that we had won!
The game of chance was over
The pretense was all gone
The hiding of ourselves from truth
No longer must be done.
Pretending to be honest,
Upright, confident and sure
Was changed within a moment;
Our hearts truly were made pure.
And now the smile upon my face
Reveals a heart so clean
For Jesus Christ has won my heart:

I love the Velveteen Rabbit! Cool to start with a quote from that classic; you should probably include author and copyright information.
This would make a good bulletin insert.
