Topic: Illustrate the meaning of "A Man is Known by the Company He Keeps" (without using the actual phrase). (01/31/08)
One cloudy and dreary day David went down to his usual hanout to meet Heath. Now Heath has a record for being the tough guy and the one whom the law has been trying to catch for three years. They were in the gameroom shooting pool. David I want you to do something for me no questions ask please. What is it man? You know that I don't handle anything without checking it out first. How long have I known you Heath asked". Man we have been buddies since first grade. Then you know if I didn't need you I would of went somewhere else. Man you put me in an awkward position. I am trying to stay out of trouble and so far I have been doing a good job of it. They both di not know that an under cover agent was in the building. He was wearing a cowboy hat with a stripe shirt and blue jeans. He also was recording the conversation. If you do this for me I wont ask you for anything else. Man I don't know. Just meet me at 3'o clock.
David left to go home and he open his door to his two bedroom apartment which was located in the suburbs. He always had a head for knowing his computers. He thought about what he and Heath discussed in the pool room. He began to pray, Lord I don't know what to do but I will coninue to serve you no matter what happens.3'o clock came and both men arrived on time. They didn't know that the police was in a van outside. When the boys David and Heath shook hands ,the police surrrounded them and arrest them both. David ask what did I do? The police stated you were seen with this man and he is wanted in two states for robbery.I did'nt know that. I guess you did'nt know that he wanted you to trnsport the money out of state for him. No I did not. Gee I should of never agreed to see him if I knew this was going to happen. After they arrived at the station they did a background check on David and found that he had no records nor warrant on him so they let him go. They kept Heath and set a bail fo 10,000 dollars. David went home and felt happy for himself, but sad for Heath. He realized that God was with him through the whole ordeal.

Nice story, but difficult to read without paragraphing and quotes when each character speaks. : )

You certainly stayed on topic with this one. Great job! If I were you, I would read some entries in Masters to see how to write dialogue. They are a very good source to learn from! You should also ask someone to proofread for you. That would really help. Keep on writing!
