When we think of fellowship among Christians we think of things like game nights or a luncheons or super bowl parties. Why is fellowship limited to only fun activities? Why can't we fellowship when we work? We can't talk and work and enjoy each other peoples company at the same time? Again why is fellowship been cast into the mold of only doing fun activities?
The example I gave is based on a true story. The family we helped was in need. They needed to replace their windows on their house. Done! They needed a deck in the back yard to be torn down. Done! They needed a toilet replaced in a downstairs bathroom. Done! They needed a door replaced downstairs. Done! The mother was crying. Why? She could not believe that there was anyone out there that would want to help her family.
They spent their time learning the apostles' teaching, sharing, breaking bread, and praying together acts 2:42. When this scripture was written was after Jesus ascended into heaven. The apostles had fellowship and worked at the same time. Why can't we?
I had fun! You can fellowship and work at the same time. We had a wonderful time at the Turners. The thing is we had fellowship and blessed a needy family at the same time. We can Fellowship when we work
