Sunday morning has finally arrived, time to get ready for church, now let’s see, which closet
Did I hang that new, pin-stripped , three- piece suit in? Oh yes, it is in the hall closet along with those new
Wing-tip shoes and that light tan colored shirt, oh and that new orange and brown tie. I bet old man Jones
Won’t have me out dressed today. Oh yes I must wear that new cologne too, after all that new sister Smith
Is going to sing in the choir for the first time today and I sure want to make a good impression on her. I ‘m
Sure glad I washed and waxed the car last night, I have to hurry though I want to park next to that Joe
Johnston , always trying to show off His new convertible, just wait till He sees my set of wheels. Now
Where did I put that new ultra- improved- updated- over- translated version of The Bible, carrying that to
Church should make an impression on the pastor and my Sunday School teacher too. I have to stop and
Buy a battery for that money clip I brought at the Christian book store, it plays “ When the saints go

I am sure you would be the best dressed, best smelling, outstanding person there today, I really think you
Have forgotten the most important and real reason I want you there. You are forgetting to bring your
Heart, filled with glory and praise to Me, just being thankful for the gift of My Son Jesus, and for the
Everyday joy in just knowing the presence of The Lord, thankful for each day of life with both big and
Small blessings. Don’t misunderstand I want you to dress nice, smell good, give, serve and all the rest, but
I want those things to come from a heart filled with love and worship first of all for Me and then for
Others, when that happens then I will welcome you and all who come with a true heart of worship to
My House and into My Heart, your loving Heavenly Father God!
