Calm?
How does one be calm when there is so much so be excited about?

Everyday I wake up; I get another chance. I get another chance to be intentional. Another chance to be God’s servant, the Holy Spirit’s dwelling place, a women God created, a wife, and a mom! Wow! God has plans so how can I be calm about that?

This morning, I got a chance to open my eyes in a peaceful neck of the woods. I got to breathe deep, the sweet air God’s blessed me with and quench my earthly body with pure, clean water as if I was actually dipping my cup in to the very mountain spring in which it first came.

I was free to pick up my bible and start my day by soaking in God’s precious promises. I was free to call out to Him, confessing, thanking, or just celebrating with Him all He’s done and all He’s doing.

How exciting to be able to gaze at God’s creation through my window! My spirit is overwhelmed beyond words as I search the ocean, watching the eagles fly past with their morning mission in mind. The sounds of the sea planes taking off, the chirping and whistling of all the busy birds, and the quiet waves hitting the beach bring God’s amazing portrait to life. How can I be calm?

How does one be calm when there is so much to take in, so many blessings? How does one be calm when there is a new day waiting and another opportunity to be God’s vessel that he oozes out of with unspeakable love, ministering to the lost?

Calm? I can not be calm! Today, I choose to be excited.

Well, now you've done it. You got me all excited to. Though you deny being calm, your entry is full of calming images: peaceful woods, flying eagles, pure water, the ocean, prayer and Bible reading. Nicely done.

Cute and interesting take on "calm". I like this sentence, (and had to reread it and think about it), "I get another chance to be intentional." I like what you done with the topic. It's very unique.
