I'm a proud Scot from Glasgow and an adopted citizen of Wales, where I've lived for 14 years.
I'm married to Simon, a policeman and recent graduate of the Open University, hence my profile picture. We have a cat, Leia and dog, Padme - spot the Star Wars reference!
I love exploring the outdoors hill-walking, horse-riding, skiing and swimming. I love to travel and stand in awe of God as He shares with me the beauty of His creation and the cities He has inspired mankind to build. I love literature, theatre and films. I love to spend time with friends, family and our church family and I thank God for the blessing that they are in my life.
I am a GP in the Valleys of South Wales. This has given me the chance to learn about what it means to be human. Daily I see people, the pinnacle of God's creation, fashioned in His image and with eternity set in our hearts, wrestling with being broken, fallen, sinful creatures living in a broken, fallen, sinful world; I experience the reality of being one of these creatures.
Yet as I see this, I also see the hope God offers us in Jesus and all that He promises to those who will put their trust in Him, both for this life and for eternity.
I hear the call of God on my life, on His people's lives, to humble ourselves, to pray, to seek His face, to turn from our wicked ways and to go and make Him known to a world that is lost. Sharing on here is part of my response to His call.
We live in significant times and as we watch and pray, I believe that God will prompt us to the action that He has in mind for each of us. I believe that He is calling His people to holiness, to total submission to Him and to trust Him as we have never trusted Him before.
He promises that He will bring to completion the work He has begun in us and He promises that He is coming back - this is my hope.
