Let me start by introducing myself; Hello, my name is Chris Gambrell. I am many things, but more than anything else, I am a man in progress. I have gladly called myself a Christian most of my life, but have spent most of it learning what it meant to be one. I must admit that it has been a hard road to travel at times, but the Lord has been patient. It seems clear that some of us are naturally more outgoing and elegant in speech, while others are naturally inclined to be quiet and/or awkward. I, being the latter, struggle greatly with sharing because of a paralyzing fear of reception. Even though I am hurt by it at times, the Lord helps me to overcome and push on. In pursuit of the Lord, I began blogging back in 2007. My goal was to share what I was learning as well as posting some great articles, sermons, and resources. Many things have changed for me over the years, which inevitably led to beginning “The Kirklen.” I am not a theological scholar, or have a seminary degree, as of yet, but hopefully through this blog that will change.
