I would have to say that 2 Corinthians 8:10-11 is a verse that sums up the state of my writing career very well:
“And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it; so there also may be a completion out of what you have.”
God finally had to point out to me that between the daily responsibilities of homeschooling my five children and working a full-time job (NOT as a writer, unfortunately!) the years will only continue to pass me by unless I make room for one of the oldest callings on my life: writing.
Although most of my freelance writing work has been for websites, my most recent assignment has been a story for a print publication called Vocational Biographies. I am also working on a novel called “The Intercessor,” which I intend to complete by summer 2003.
My husband, Mike, and I live with our children – Breanna, Mikey, Hali, Kristen and Rebekah – in Delaware.
