The Love of a Savior for a Friend
Greater love has no one than this,
That he lay down His life for His friends.
I’m talking to you and I want you to know,
That I would certainly do it again!
For I so-loved the world,
That I nailed Myself to the cross!
I bore your pain and died for your gain
To save your soul which was lost!
For without Me you would be condemned,
And your soul would die in Hell!
But down came the flood of My innocent blood
As they drove in those spike-sized nails!
The blood that was shed was pure!
And it still washes away all sin!
Never to be remembered against you anymore!
My beloved, My child, My friend…
So now, “Satan, you’ve been defeated!
My children are washed in the blood of the Lamb!
Now, bow your head! Did you hear what I said?
Bow down to the Great I AM!”
“For the Word of God was made flesh,
And lived and dwelt among thee!
He was Jesus the Christ who was sacrificed,
And I you beast am He!”
Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends. –Jn 15:13 (NIV)
