Imagine what your life would be
Without someone who cares
Or if you never felt happy
Or smiles had become rare
Imagine what your life would be
If you never felt joy
Or knew what it was like to sing
If hope was just a toy
Imagine what your life would be
If laughter wasn’t heard
Or children playing in the park
Happened to be absurd
Imagine what your life would be
Without the gift of love
If hugs and kisses meant nothing
And friendship was a glove
Imagine what your life would be
Without our Lord and King
If God the Father was a myth
Without escape from sin
Imagine what your life would be
If you could not be saved
If our Redeemer hadn’t lived
And died for us that day
Imagine what your life would be
With heaven out of reach
If we could never understand
The things Jesus did teach
Imagine what your life would be
His spirit dead to us
We would be dead and dead again
No life for us above
