Life’s a crazy coaster ride.
That hill I’m about to fly down
just seems so steep and too darn high.
This ride is full of wild twists,
and such wicked ups and downs.
I’m not feeling so well
and I just wanna get off now..
CHORUS:
I know the best thing to do is put faith in You.
I gotta believe You’re gonna see me through.
Gotta have faith You’ll stay right here by my side.
Need to believe You’re in control of the ride.
Gotta believe You’ll give me the strength I lack.
I gotta have faith You’ll keep this car on the tracks.
So much rushes through my head.
want out ‘fore I plunge off the edge.
One of two choices I must make;
I can jump…but if I do
all my bones will likely break.
I’ll brace and hold on tight,
have faith and pray I’ll be alright.
(CHORUS)
This ride’s only built for two.
There’s only room for me and You.
It’s only s’posed to be just You and me.
If I look away I see…
others who influence me.
I hear them scream and freak
and forget You’re here with me.
(CHORUS)
It only takes one glance back
to see these rails are badly cracked.
If I don’t focus on Your truth,
I end up loosing sight of You.
The world takes hold of my mind
and then I forget…
You’re the One in control of this ride.
CHORUS (x2)
