When offended, don’t overlook the offense.
Focus on it. Use a loupe, a jeweler’s glass.
Turn it over, and over, in your mind.
Seek revenge. Stay off the high road.
Form a deep, and bitter, dislike of the offender.
Hang onto your grudge. Nurse it, for all it’s worth.
Don’t read your Bible.
Feed your animosity. Salivate venom.
Tell anyone who will listen, you were wronged.
Feel self-righteous. Think of ways to get even.
Don’t ask, “What would Jesus do?”
Revisit the offense, again and again.
Dwell on it, don’t let it go! Keep score.
Do a slow burn. Be indignant.
Don’t walk in the light.
Spew hatred, raise your hackles.
Assign blame. Roar and storm!
Stoke ferocity, let it smolder.
See red. Feel your fury. Be incensed, inflamed.
Seethe, fume, simmer, boil, get violent. Go on a
rampage! Don’t worry about collateral damage.
Let the devil push your buttons. Explode!
