Death
“Can’t scare me with heaven,”
I once heard a woman say,
I smiled and thank my God,
For her bold, heroic display.
Why would death ever scare,
Anyone who has been saved?
Only the lost have fear,
Regretting how they’ve behaved.
Defiantly shunning the Savior,
Turning a deaf ear to veracity.
Unable to surrender self,
Sadly lacking a humble capacity.
Yet the person whose saved,
Looks towards that glorious morn,
When they wake in the presence
Of Jesus, to this end were they born.
For Jesus swallowed up death,
Wiping the tears from all men’s face.
He waits now anticipating,
The moment we touch and embrace.
There is no death for believers,
For what terror could heaven hold?
All anyone need do is listen,
As Christ’s wondrous story is told.
Come join in the glad celebration,
Feast now with the partisan faithful.
Surrender~become born again,
Eternal life with Him will be blissful.
To all who call on His name,
Jesus the Christ: the superb liberator.
On earth or in all of the heavens,
No other name has ever been greater.
