The Things Grandma Misses
Soft golden curls
Fastened up in a bow,
Hazel-brown eyes
That can twinkle just so…
Two little lips
Turned up in a smile,
Or one stuck out
To pout for a while…
Little pink hands
That will clap with delight,
Small arms that hug
When I hold her so tight…
Short little legs
Running to and fro,
My little girl
Always on the go…
Tired little head
With a sweet baby smell,
Pressed against mine
Making “grandma tears” swell.
Plump little cheeks
To hold all my kisses…
These are the things
That your grandma misses.
