My Personal Psalm
By Leticia Caroccio
Where are You, Lord?
Because of my sin I cannot see You.
I am so far away from Your presence.
I feel the coldness of the world and all of its desires.
They try to draw me away from You.
I do not want to but at times I give in;
Then I feel the coldness of a life that is away from Your presence.
I hear Your footsteps as they walk across my heart.
I hear Your voice as You call me by name.
Do not be far from me.
Stop my enemies in the world before they end my life.
Put my feet back on the path that leads to You.
Let my face be turned back to You, my God Almighty;
That my eyes bay see Your great love and faithfulness;
That my ears may hear a new song in my heart.
I have fallen down again, my Lord.
Stretch out Your hand to me, for You are the only One
Who can lift me up.
And I will praise and lift Your name above all my enemies.
Lord God, Lover of my soul,
Restore me and place me back in Your presence.
If You do not, I will die.
