Faith In the Storm
The strong winds begins to blow
With the grey clouds covering the sky,
The tree limbs are beginning to sway
And it appears that a storm is nigh.
The grass is blowing in the strong wind
And the leaves are beginning to fall,
Quickly, I run for shelter nearby
Trembling with great fear from it all.
I hear the sounds of the raindrops falling
And the loud banging sounds of thunder,
I see the bright lightening flashing
It is such an awesome wonder.
The sky is filled with a deep darkness
Like the day has turned to night,
And I begin to feel more great fear
Wondering, where is the bright light?
Like the storms that comes in life
All of a sudden it seems to appear,
You wonder where it came from
And it brings you a lot of fear.
The banging sounds of thunder
Are like the cries from my fears,
And the rain is falling down
Like the tears I’ve shed for years.
Suddenly, the lightning starts to flash
Like faith that comes and goes away,
And many times it will seem to waver
Although it may want to stay.
But I will hold on to my faith
It has all of the power for my needs,
Because it only takes a little faith
Like the size of a mustard seed.
One day this storm will end
And the sun will shine again,
Leaving such a refreshing smell
Like the aroma from the rain.
Behind the grey clouds is a bright light
Where there is a silver lining,
That is where my faith and hope abides
Where the SON never stops shining.
