Every believer and non-believer knows what it is like to feel alone and lost when a struggle, trial, or test happens in their lives. The first response for many is to believe that God has left them or that you may have done something so wrong that God has walked away and it is a punishment from Him.
Do remember, in all you are going through, God promised in Deuteronomy 31:6 " Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
Whenever God makes a promise, He sees it to full completion and always does above and beyond all we could ask or think as told in Ephesians 3:20 " Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us".
This brings to my recollection a story I heard about a while ago.
There was a man who had a son and his son had reached the age where he was about to go on to manhood. This dad had a strange way to test his son and see what kind of a man he would be while still teaching him the value of trust and bravery. He and his son went into the woods in the dark of night. He told his son it would be a long night and so he should put on warm clothing.
As they walked through the woods, they saw a huge tree. He then told his son to sit by the tree and his son obeyed him. Looking at his son, he said " I am going to put this blindfold over your eyes and you cannot take this blindfold off no matter what and you have to keep it on until daylight; this is the rule you have to follow".
Then he told him he was going to leave him there for the whole night in the cold, dark, creepy woods by himself. He set the alarm on the watch his son had on his hand and told him "When you hear the alarm go off in the morning, then you may take the blindfold off. Not before".
Can you imagine how scared the young lad was? His insides must have trembled so hard. Anyhow, the morning came and his alarm went off on his watch and he took off the blindfold. When he looked across from where he was, there was his dad, sleeping quietly in his sleeping bag. He never left his son, not even for a minute. He was there all the time watching out for his son and making sure no wild animals or other harm would come to him.
If he, a dad, a mere mortal saw it fit to test his son in this way and found it right to lay there a little way from him, yet close enough to protect him, not tell me how much more does our heavenly Father watch over us? God has never left us, He is with us now and He will always be with us. His Promise is true, so rest assured, you are not alone, God IS with you, and don't you dare forget it! Now go forth walking in His Divine Love, Guidance, and Protection and live the life that pleases Him and brings you joy!
Your God IS with YOU!
