TITLE: The Others By CJ Campbell 01/06/10 |

She slams the door behind her and runs off down the road
The tears flowing down her face is her weakness she’s been told
She looks around to see if even one will glance her way
Why is she invisible on a clear and sunny day?
CHORUS:
She doesn’t look like all the others a sense of purity defined
She has a smile like her mother but it’s soon to fade in time
So she prays to her God and she stays true to her heart
Still why’s everything so hard?
Amidst the scars and bruises and a shattered broken heart
She finds a little love and some forgiveness on her part
Still she finds it hard to give herself away
And now she hesitates when someone looks her way
REPEAT CHORUS:
One day walking down the road she sees a little girl
Tiny thin and fragile with a teardrop by her curls
She stoops down to hug her and says “It’s okay”
And the girl looks at her and says “I see you today”
CHORUS REVISED:
But you don’t look like all the others a sense of purity defined
You have a smile like my mother that’s sure to last all through time
And just pray to your God and just stay true to your heart
Cause not everything’s that hard
Now a fine young woman, she makes sure to stop and pray
For all the other girls who are invisible today
She stoops down to tell them just reach out in love
It’ll never fail you; you’ll get blessings from above
CHORUS REVISED:
Cause He didn’t make you like the others a sense of purity defined
You have a smile like your mother that’s sure to last you through time
And just pray to our God and just stay true to your heart
And not everything’s that hard
Cause He didn’t make you like the others
