In all the things the world does to you
And all the things you're going through
The word from the Lord is "Don't despair...
God is the answer to your prayer.
If you reach out, His hand is there.
His hand is there.

So reach out in your pain and your sorrow...
Reach out to the one who truly cares.
Reach out to the hand of Jesus,
You'll find that His hand is already there...
Yes His hand has always been there.

Why do you cry about what has been done?
Turn it over to Jesus, God's only Son.
He'll take your burden, make it one you can bear,
Take His yoke upon you... it's easy to wear,
if you reach out. His hand is there,
His hand is there.

So reach out in your pain and your sorrow...
Reach out to the one who truly cares.
Reach out to the hand of Jesus,
You'll find that His hand is already there...
Yes His hand has always been there.

Let your heart wait on the Lord
and let your spirit hear God's word.
"The Lord is your shelter, the Lord is your shade,
He'll meet your need with a love that won't fade
if you reach out. His hand is there,
His hand is there.
