Standing on the promises of Christ my Lord
Not For Sale
Author requests article critique
'Can you come back again?' or 'Can you repeat what you just said?' is a common request we often hear.
Our ears have heard it once, yet since our heart disbelieves with what we heard, we desire to reconfirm, as humans we often doubt, yet God does not approve this habit of ours..
Then He said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!"
Luke 24:25 (New King James Version)
We have many of the Lord's promises in our lives, yet when in the present circumstance we tend to forget them, instead of sending a message to the devil saying 'I will not be discouraged because my God is with me and I will depend on His promises', we tend to accept failure and defeat before the devil and thus dishonor the name of our God and betray God.
I totally agree with you that in such circumstances its really very hard to keep our calm and preserve our faith, yet believe me, devil is trying to break us down and break us away from God.
There is nothing impossible with God and if we fully trust in Him, He will never put us to shame,
"Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever."
Psalm 125:1(New King James Version)
Abraham was seventy five years when God promised this to him....
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:2-3 (New King James Version)
Abraham had to wait for another twenty five years to see Issac (God's promised son to him), Abraham would really have lost hope, yet today Abraham is known as the 'Father of the Faithful', he held on to the promises of God, he honored God.
"Tarry (wait) at the promise till God meets you there. He always returns by way of His promises."
