Poetry
A rose consists of several petals
so closely wrapped and knit together,
yet when the rain comes and
the wind howls, the rose slowly,
but surely, pulls a part
from the warmth of the other
and so like roses our love might be
for when the storms come
pulled a part we might be
Although at first we may seem
safe, but soon the security
will be misplaced. Misplaced
by anger, bitterness, and strife.
Only if we let our love be like rose petals.
