Psalm 82:3-4, "Do justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless and maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy. Rescue them out of the hand of the wicked."
It's hard to live in a world where we hear comments like, "God will help those who help themselves," or "if I'm able to work then those poor people can get out there and get a job too." But as Christians, it's our duty to go into all of the world and show Jesus to everyone no matter what state they're in or how they got to where they are today. I have a hard time imagining Jesus saying to a beggar, "See all of these other people? They have jobs, so I'm not going to help you until you get a job yourself. Now run along." I'm so thankful He's not like that!
There are three requirements from God found in the Book of Micah. He said, "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?" (6:8). It would displease the Lord if we turn away those who are in need, especially when we're able to help them. God would never turn them away, and as His children, He fully expects us to extend our kindness to them.
God has blessed us so we can turn around and bless others. Maybe not necessarily with money, but with our time, our comfort and encouragement, and our prayers. Be aware of those around you who have needs today and ask God how you can help them. Let's please our Heavenly Father today.

WEll said. Micah 6:8 is one of my favorite verses.
A great article and much needed reminder. We are God's representatives on earth. When helping others we could very well be ministering to "angels unawares" GOD BLESS YOU
