One day I'll close my eyes in sleep
To wake on Heaven's shore.
The Lord will finally let me see
What my life on earth has been for.

I will see the times of desolation
When I felt so totally alone
Were meant for me to look to God
And draw closer to His throne.

Then there were the times of trials
That life would put me through.
I'll see how God used each of these
To see just who or what I would turn to.

I'll see the opportunities He gave me
To tell others about Him.
Unfortunately I'll witness how many times
I just turned and walked away from them.

The scenes that will hurt the most
Were when I failed to show true Christian love
Because my actions were viewed by others
As a representation of my Father above.

I'll see the things that happened
Which on earth I could never understand
Then I'll see them as pieces that completed the picture
Of God's great eternal plan

Right now I'm making that movie
The Lord will show me then.
How I use each moment God gives me
Is something I will have to see again.
