This is an article I wrote back in 2001!!!.

How has the first millennial year been for you in the 21st Century?, Normally about this time of year I think and see what I have accomplished this year and what has been a significant part of my busy calendar year. The bible says “whatever you do – do well” – Is what your year has been like?.

Up to-date Is this your life?, So far you have achieved all that you want to or have you?, You have learnt from life’s mistakes and failures or have you stayed the same?, You have overcome them and passed my knowledge on to someone else?, You have thought of how God can enhance your life or develop your relationship with him? Or you are being the person you are meant to be?.

These few questions require a deal of thought but may stop you in your ways for a while to challenge your daily living for the better. Reflecting is a time to move on – it is only evident when you do not see people for a while like at Christmas we realize that times change but do we change with them.

Reflection sharpens the understanding and softens the heart which points out your very existence and who you are. So if the question was rephrased today “This is your life” – would you say that “My circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the Gospel”.

Psalm 139 tells that God Knows everything we have done and are going to do – so to close verse 13 & 14 says “you made my whole being, you formed me in my mother’s body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. I know this very well”. Has this review been worthwhile?.
