Here I am,
sitting on a wooden bench,
above the gently bubbling river.
The cool breeze rustles my hair
and stirs up thoughts
that dwell deep inside me.

So many happy smiles,
and yet so many tears
I have cried.
All my life
seems like an illusion
compared to the love
I have found in You.

All I long to do is rest
in Your unfailing grace.
For my entire life
I want You beside me.

Show me Your love
and calm the fears I feel.
Touch my heart
like only You can.
Draw me into Your presence.
Guide me always
and protect me forever.
Lord, please be my comfort.
