COME TAKE MY HAND

Come take my hand and I’ll guide you
On a journey you’ve never been before
It will lead you to true inner peace
And it begins right at your heart’s door.

The sights you see along the way
Will help you understand
How the peace you so eagerly seek
Can be found through just one Man.

Our path begins with a baby
So tiny and so small
Who would ever guess one so little
Could change the world at all.

The next scene is on a hillside
Where the child has grown to a Man
He’s preaching to the multitudes
Teaching God’s wonderful plan.

We see Him performing miracles
Of healing and raising from the dead
The crowd is praising and exalting him
Intensely listening to every word He’s said.

Then we see the mob turn ugly
And shout out how He must die
As He is cruelly nailed to a cross
The crowd angrily cries “Crucify.’

The next sight is the greatest
For it was when He walked from that grave
He proved death no longer victorious
Man to sin was no longer enslaved

I’ve taken you down this path
To introduce my Lord to you
The next step must be yours
For I’ve done all I can do.

Take your hand that was in mine
And put it in His alone
He’ll lead you to a greater peace
Than you have ever known.

Tracey, this is a very good journey in poetry, and the literal journey in Christ is out of this world, straight into Heaven. Thanks for sharing.

wow, this was a beautiful invitation to seek the Lord, and your account of His life was very simple, yet eloquent. I really enjoyed it, God bless.
