Grief
Memories
Memories are all I have
Sweet memories of you.
God saw fit to take you home,
Now what am I going to do?
We spent time together,
Each and every day.
We seldom did our own thing
That just wasn’t our way.
Now that you are gone
I long to have you near.
Just like you were with me
For twenty-six and a half years.
And we also had dated for
Almost two years before that.
We had become so very close
That was a well-known fact.
I still think about you
And all the time we shared.
Those memories are all I have
I’m so glad that you were there.
