JUST BECAUSE. . .
Father God,
I stopped by because I wanted to say thank you, Just Because. . .
I’m having some car troubles, In fact, right now, I don’t even have a car to drive, but I do have two working feet!, so thank you, Just Because. . .
I didn’t feel the best physically today, In fact, I have some annoying little pains in my chest. But I didn’t need an ambulance to transport me to the emergency waiting room! I walked in and walked myself out, so Thank you, Just Because. . . .
I felt kind of a little bit lonely today when I noticed other couples smiling as they leisurely strolled past, almost forgetting to remember that long ago you promised "Never will I leave you, nor forsake you. . . . . . Your spirit comforted me, so I wanna say thank you Just Because. . . .
I didn’t rest well last night, too much on my mind, but I didn’t need a psychologist in a psychiatric ward to medicate me for some mental disorder I DIDNT HAVE, so thank you, Just Because.. . . .
I was very disappointed when I missed my train home after night school as I contemplated the journey of several miles I would have to walk home as I sat aboard the bus, then suddenly the bus stopped to pick up a man strapped into a wheelchair who joyously boarded, greeting other passengers with a smile on his face as the driver let up the lift to allow him access to his seat. He continued rejoicing, though he may never walk again, Thank you, Just Because. . .
I’m scraping my dresser drawers for change just to get enough for a cup of coffee, yet there are some who stand by busy intersections of traffic hoping only to "scrape" enough pennies and nickels together for a warm meal to satisfy the hunger in their empty stomachs. So thank you, Just Because. .
.
Didn’t get the job that I prayed for yet, but not a day this year has went by that I didn’t have all my needs supplied, Thank you Just Because!
Sometimes I wonder when I’ll be able to afford a place of my own, it often gets difficult at times living under someone else’s roof. As these discouraging tendencies seemed to get me down, walking down the street to my corner of those four walls, I noticed a lady casually walking past with all her belongings inside of a shopping cart she’d borrowed . . Thank you, Just Because. . .
How I craved a porterhouse steak for dinner, or to sit in a nice restaurant and order horsede`vores with a reasonable meal of my choice, yet when I examined my cupboards, all I could find were canned goods, top ramen and juice. Yet I was satisfied after I ate and I didn’t have to leave a tip. So Thank You, Just Because. . .
It’s been quite a while since I can remember being able to get what I wanted to wear from the mall, yet, just the other week I donated three rather large bags of clothing to the local charity, and I still have plenty to wear! Thank you Just Because. . . .
I’ve been a little depressed because I don’t have anywhere to keep the little dog that you gave me, but you sent a family my way who is able to provide him with food and shelter, so Thank you, Just Because. . .
Sometimes I sit besides the water that circles the city in which I live and ponder life’s difficult issues. Those who sit behind prison bars and some in hospitals have only steel bars and narrow corridors before them by which to reflect on the misery of their shattered dreams, so Thank you, Just Because. . .
I felt a little lazy when the worship leader asked us to stand to our feet and "worship" and "praise" the Lord, then I passed by a crowded cemetery and realized those who sleep cannot praise you at all. . Thank you, Just Because . . .
I don’t always feel a "spirit of forgiveness" when I ask you to forgive my sins, then I turn around and everywhere I see images of you hanging there on a wooden cross with nails in your hands, nails in your side and a crown of thorns upon your head with blood pouring profusely down your cheeks, the inflicted wounds you bore in your body for me, and I suddenly know if I were the only person on planet earth, you would have left Heaven to die for me.
Now, whenever I’m sad, lonely, discouraged, depressed, despondent, broke, a little hungry, or can’t find anything to say Thank you for at all, I’ll say Thank you Just Because. . .-Amen and Thank you!
