Marriage
I started making a tassel out of tiny beads and a larger wooden one, and having learned from my mistakes in the last one, I knew the right way to get this one done.
When I had strung the little beads on the thread, and then put the needle thru the center to the other side, some of the beads disappeared there as well, as if they wanted to hide.
It isn't that they did any harm, being in there hidden from view, but it also left holes in the pretty design, it just didn't look like it was supposed to.
This time I worked a little slower than before, to get the beads lined up exactly right, and then I put a little drop of glue at the edge, to keep them from falling out of sight.
And it reminded me of each moment of our day, each a gem like my little beads, and we string them on a silken thread of memory and lay them around our larger foundation bead, so they will be there to remember any time we need.
Each one is so precious that we don't want them out of view, so we string them
with extra care, and at the beginning and end of each row of our day, we anchor
them in place to keep them there.
The anchors are so small, these little drops put there, but they are so important in what they do, for they are the grace that keeps the moments alive, each precious moment I have spent with you; and the best thing of all is that the thread of our memory has to pass thru the center each and every time, or everything would fall apart, for without this hole in the center, our lives would have no reason or rhyme.
For in the center of all our days, and in the center of the love we share, is God and His love, for He is the true anchor, the One from whom we learn how to care.
I thank God for the beads and the lesson they have taught me, to keep our wonderful memories in sight, and to always pass the memory thread of our days thru the center so God can keep them centered and lined up right.
For it's only thru His love and the example that He gives that let us know how to keep our love deep and true, to always keep God right in the center of the love that we share, us two.

"...for He is the true anchor, the One from whom we learn how to care" and how to forgive and how to give and how to LIVE! :::smile::: We certainly find that all the things we thought we knew how to do before are totally new concepts to us. But if we listen and receive from Him, with hearts willing to be changed, He will surely come through for us and teach us to love the way The Anchor loves. Powerful article today, Sister.
