By faith, Noah built an ark as what God had commanded him to do. In Genesis 7:1-4 it says,

vs. 1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteousness before me in this generation.
vs.2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee of sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
vs.3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
vs.4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

During the great flood, every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven except Noah and his family, together with the chosen animals which were inside the ark.

Their faith and obedience to God saved them from such huge disastrous event. Please read the whole story in Genesis chap.6-8.

By faith, Abraham offered his most beloved son Isaac to be a living sacrifice as God has told him to do.

God said to Abraham in Genesis 22:2, "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of".He obeyed God's command without any complaint.Let's read in Genesis 22:10-13

vs.10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
vs. 11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
vs. 12 And he said, Lay not thine upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
vs. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

What a great faith did Abraham have, that inspite of this hardest and painful trial from God to him, he still able to obey and choose God rather than anyone else, even to his most precious son. After he was being tried and proven to have a very strong faith and love to Him, he won the victory at the end. Praise God,Halelujah!

By faith, David slew Goliath, the great Philistine giant enemy.

He brought no armour and helmet during the battle. Let's take a look on I Samuel 17:40,"And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shephered's bag which he had, even in a scrip: and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine".

When Goliath saw David, he desdained him for he was just a young boy.He insulted David saying, "Am I a dog, that you come to me in staves? Come to me and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field".

But David simply answered to him, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you havedefied".

Not so long, David smote Goliath with his sling and a stone that sunk into the enemy's forehead. He suddenly fell down and died.

David simply won the fight. It was not just his own battle but of the Lord's.
