The road stretched far ahead of me
And my load was taking its toll.
Step by step I ventured on
As fatigue spread through my soul.

I tried to hurry and move along,
But my load weighed many pounds.
Soon I knew I must toss away
The baggage that pulled me down.

One by one, I threw them off
And as they fell aside,
I felt lighter with each step I took.
There was a purpose to my stride.

The first to go was the anger
That really bogged me down.
It made me tense and bitter
And I often wore a frown.

Then I shed my pain and fear
And as they slipped away,
I felt my heart grow lighter
As I continued on my way.

Discouragement was the next to go,
Thumping on the ground.
I felt inspired to "go for it" -
What a joyful, happy sound!

It seemed that I'd been given wings
As I began to run.
Faster, faster, soaring high,
I reached for the warmth of the "Son".

Oh, my. I don't know how I missed this one. As I was reading, I was reminded of the truth, that God will not come and demand we let go of anything. It is our choice to let anger, unforgiveness, etc, go, but when we make that choice, He can do much with our lives. (Blessings, Barb)

Beautiful anointed Poem Peggy full of God's Truth and Wisdom.

How can a bird fly if there is weights on the wings? Oh Jesus has called us to soar on Eagles Wings in the Power of the Holy Spirit as we Love and Worship and Serve Him!

And I will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you like to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand. Free-falling in to His grace is such a wonderful experience. Praise HIS name!! Beautiful truth, Peggy! God bless- Nancy
