Poetry
At sweet sixteen
Never felt more in between.
Lost in worldly things,
Ran away from my King.
Not a care beside this world.
For I was just a girl.
Disregarding my behavior.
Deserting my one savior.
Turning to eighteen
Wallowing in salt and saline.
Neglecting to see the truth,
That I only needed You.
Searching for answers in books.
The Bible, I never looked.
Considered an adult'
Thought I could fix things myself.
When twenty came,
I knew I needed to change.
I prayed on my knees.
Pleading, Jesus, please…
I wanted to be forgiven,
For the life that I was living.
And from that night on,
My new life begun.
