Christian Living
When we choose to insult the Master,
We are creating a major disaster.
When we don’t believe that God can bring us through,
We are saying that God is not able to do
As He has promised – to make a way
And to hear and answer when we pray.
It’s an insult to God when we choose to harbor hate,
Taking revenge of our own because we feel God’s timing is too late.
It’s an insult to God when we try to make a way on our own
By going our own way and doing what is wrong.
It’s an insult to God when we feel sorry for ourselves
And resent the prosperity of someone else.
It’s an insult to God when we throw away the blessings He has given
By denying righteousness in the lives we’re living.
It’s an insult to God to give up on your fellowman
By acting if God doesn’t forgive and understand
The creature He has created in His own way
When we choose not to forgive and turn our offenders away.
It’s an insult to God when we choose to divorce
Instead of working to strongly enforce
His will to look beyond faults to see needs
And to forgive others for their wrong deeds.
It’s an insult to God when He tells us “No”,
And we proceed with our own plans as if He doesn’t know
What’s best for us in the lives that we live;
For, His will and His purpose is the reason He chose to give
Us the opportunity to live lives of prosperity and success;
And, we didn’t have to make a formal or written request;
For, it is His will that we succeed,
And He confirms it by providing our every need.
It’s an insult to God not to accept whatever He allows you to go through
As instruments and tools to strengthen, mold, and build you.
It’s an insult to God to even think that you know what is best
When He created our trials and our tests.
It’s an insult to God to think that we deserve more and better than what He gives
When it’s simply a privilege to live the lives we live.
It’s an insult to God when we choose sin, temporary gratification
Rather than peace, love, joy, and happiness which lies in our eternal destination.
Don’t insult God by choosing to find your own way;
But, appreciate Him by doing what is right each day.

Excellent point! I remember one time when the Holy Spirit "got in my face" about an attitude I was having! True humility is to recognize our absolute dependence on God. We're toast without Him!
